Apple orchards are the main crop in the valley area, but they're being replaced by slopes where the wine ripens. Right in the middle, where the slope gently turns into rocky steepness, lies Tramin. There are vineyards, cypresses, oleanders, and palm trees. The north merges into the south, and there are mountain views as a contrast to the Mediterranean-looking landscape.

The 2,116-meter-high Monte Roen in the background calls for you to tighten your hiking boots, while the Wine Route attracts racing cyclists with its gently curved asphalt. The wooded slopes of the Trudner Horn hiking area opposite are waiting to be discovered, while the Weißhorn and Schwarzhorn peek out and promise exciting mountain bike trails. There's plenty to do in Tramin and its surroundings, from swimming to climbing via ferratas, going for a walk and strolling in the capital Bolzano. And of course, enjoying the wine is always a good idea! The wine is aromatic, full-bodied and structured in a special way. That's how the village is too.
